
Prairie Wind is a development of 18 Energy Star rated single-family homes in the Prairie Park neighborhood off 26th and Haskell. Children in this area attend Prairie Park Elementary, South Junior High and Lawrence High School. Seven homes will be 2 bedroom, 1 bath, 962 ft² fully accessible homes with 1-car garages, nine 3-bedroom, 2.5 bath two-story 1,461 ft² -1,536 ft² visitable homes with 2-car garages, and two homes will be 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath, two-story homes with 2-car garages. Floor plans are still being developed for the four-bedroom homes. Prices will be set when construction is close to completion, but it is estimated these homes will have market appraisals of appx. $135,000-$175,000 and will be sold for appx. $100,000-$135,000, depending on the home's size.
8th &Elm is a rental development in North Lawrence that will be composed of four single-family houses. Two will be 2BR, 1Bath fully accessible floor plans for appx $550/month, and two will be 3BR, 2.5Bath visitable floor plans for appx $750/month. The first two were completed in Winter of 2013 and the final two are projected for completion in Spring and Summer 2013. The two-bedrooms currently rent for $525. When the three-bedrooms are complete, we will be able to officially set the rent amounts.
