The Lawrence Community Housing Trust
Tenants to Homeowners has two rental programs. Our Affordable Rental Program has two and three-bedroom units with rents at several hundred dollars below Fair Market Rent. Tenants must be income eligible according to our funding restrictions, but the rent does not change according to the tenant's income. These units are mainly located in East Lawrence. Details are below. We are accepting applications and there is no application fee. We have one 3 bedroom unit on 8th and Elm that will become available in June 2013. This program, called LCHT Accessible Housing, has one and two-bedroom apartments specifically for those with disabilities. Rent is income-based and changes every year based on changes in the tenant's income. This program is subsidized by HUD Section 202/8 program and Tax Credits. Because of that, this program requires different paperwork. If you have a disability and extremely low income, please apply to this program. We do not have three-bedroom units with this program. We do not currently have vacancies, but we are accepting applications and there is no application fee. To apply to this program, please print the PDF below. Tenants to Homeowners (TTH) maintains more than 50 affordable rental homes in Lawrence to those with low incomes.
