My story is that I have four kids and like all families we’ve gone through some hard times. I don’t really want to go into details but it hasn’t always been easy for us. Luckily for me, the time when I needed help there was someone there.

TTH provided an opportunity and a blessing for my family. This house that we are in was built with love and care so when my family got this house we had no choice but to feel that, and we feel it.

Me being a single mom, I can speak to the single mothers out there. You have to be willing to humble yourself and ask for help. I own my own business and work as a CMA. Without the housing trust program, a house like this would not be possible for me right now.

Moving here the kids were emotional, emotional in a good way. The older ones have their own rooms, their own space and we all love the backyard it’s huge and great for the kids and our dog.

There is work involved with getting a house in trust but it’s worth it.  I would say if someone is looking for help or a break from having the weight of life on their shoulders, this program helps to make sure you have a stable environment and a stable home for your kids.

Five years from now I want to have my nursing license and I want to be content and happy and safe and I want my kids to be happy. As they get older, I want them to know that they have somewhere to come back to and right now, they do.
